Counselling for children & young people

We are currently at full capacity for work within schools, but have limited availability for individual referrals at our centre based in Bartley Green. We can support young people who are dealing with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression/low mood
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Trauma
  • Abuse
  • All types of relationship issues
  • Sexual orientation/gender identity
  • Stress
  • Self-awareness

Our counselling & psychotherapy service offers young people a safe and confidential space to talk to a trained professional about their feelings and concerns.  They may be struggling with the social aspects of school, such as making friends, or difficulties in their current friendship groups. As a young person they also may be having difficulties within their family. This can be with a grown-up, a brother or sister or other family member.

As a young person they may feel lost, stuck, worried or sad. These and many other difficult emotions are useful guides to indicate counselling could be helpful. Our counsellors have experience of working through difficult issues with a view to helping young people feel better.

We offer face-to-face, zoom call and phone counselling sessions.

It really helped me with my 🙁 face, and getting over daddy. I’m so happy now I’ve been to Newman Counselling. Thank you for supporting me 🙂

Bringing our child here was the best step we took. Counselling was very beneficial -they are much happier and better equipped to move on. Staff are wonderful and very friendly -BIG THANKS 🙂
