Counselling for children & young people

Newman University has a counselling & psychotherapy service which offers you a safe and confidential space to talk to a trained professional about your feelings and concerns.  You may be struggling with the social aspects of school, such as making friends, or difficulties in your current friendship groups. You also may be having difficulties within your family. This can be with a grown-up, a brother or sister or other family member. You may feel lost, stuck, worried or sad. These and many other difficult emotions are useful guides to indicate counseling could be helpful. Our counsellors have experience of working through difficult issues with a view to helping you to feel better.

Counselling can help with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression/low mood
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Trauma
  • Abuse
  • All types of relationship issues
  • Sexual orientation/gender identity
  • Stress
  • Self-awareness
  • Bullying

It really helped me with my 🙁 face, and getting over daddy. I’m so happy now I’ve been to Newman Counselling. Thank you for supporting me 🙂
